The premise behind golfwithwomen.com is that women are currently afterthoughts at most golf courses, both public and private.
By not focusing on initially attracting and keeping women in the sport, the golf industry is missing a significant economic opportunity for the following reasons:
-Women have significant wealth to spend on leisure activities.
-Women are the primary decision makers on how families spend their leisure time.
-Women are looking for safe, healthy activities where the family can spend time together.
The purpose of this website is to educate the golf industry on best practices for increasing play and enhancing revenues from women and families by:
-Making the sport more welcoming and fun.
-Breaking down the barriers to entry for women golfers and their families.
-Better meeting the needs of women, juniors and older golfers.
-Treating every golfer fairly by respecting their individual strengths and limitations.
The golf industry needs to do a lot of work to take advantage of this economic opportunity, but we believe the outcome will be well worth the effort.
Golf with women playing more will be a richer sport in many ways.
